Heather - Bridals - Charlotte Wedding Photographer

Yesterday was Heather and Clint's wedding, and it was absolutely gorgeous!!  Seeing them so happy and in love made my heart so happy!  More to come on that though!  Since the "big day" has passed, it's time to see Heather's second Bridal portrait session.  Her dress actually broke DURING our first shoot and she ended up getting a new dress and I am sooooo glad she did!  The new dress was much more "her" and she looked absolutely stunning in it!  These are my favorites from our session:

Stay tuned for both Lauren and Heather's Wedding Posts!

Oh, and HAPPY EASTER!  I don't know about you, but I feel more love and gratitude for Jesus on Easter than on any other day of the year!

Lauren - Bridals - Belmont Wedding Photographer

I've been waiting for a few weeks now to post Lauren's Bridal portraits.  Her wedding was yesterday so it's "safe" to release these images now.  We did the shoot at Belmont Abbey College, which is where Lauren attends.  The campus is absolutely gorgeous!  Stay tuned for the wedding day post!

Sweet Baby Izzy - Charlotte Family Photographer

I got to meet a brand new baby girl named Isabella last week, and she was sooo stinkin cute!  Being around her made the baby fever go up a few notches for sure!  Her Mom and Dad are part of our CARES by Apartment Life ministry at our church.  I love having the opportunity to use my talents to serve God and serve the members of my church who work hard to make it the amazing place that it is!  I'm so grateful that I was asked to be a volunteer photographer, it definitely makes my heart smile really big!!  I really hope I get the opportunity to photograph this gorgeous family again!

Johnson Family

I worry a lot about what I write on this blog, even though it's mine.  I type sentences and then delete, re-type and delete, until it's as close to perfect as I imagined it would be.  When I have "writers block"- which I say VERY loosely because I definitely don't consider myself a writer, I usually end up being very vague and simple instead of creating the post I had originally thought about.  I am my biggest enemy and worst critic.  I anxiously wait to hear back from my clients on what they think of their pictures and blog posts because in my heart I want to make sure every single person that hires me falls in love with what I capture with my lens, my eyes, and my heart.  But occasionally, there's someone who notices something else about me.  When I write from my heart and let the world in on my deepest feelings and emotions, my most personal thoughts, my inner treasures something magical sometimes happens.  When Niki saw me at work after she read my Perseverance post she told me that my words had touched her and that she had even began to cry at her desk.  This touched me more than there are words for, it was so personal, so raw, and hardly anyone else commented on it even though it has probably been the most important post I've ever written - to me anyway.  Niki wanted me to take her family photos not only because she likes my style and knows me, but because she appreciates my heart, and I appreciate hers back.  Niki and Jeff- I had so much fun with you both and your sweet, beautiful girls.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kind words and for trusting me to capture your amazing family!

Sweet Sammy

Kerri and I had been trying for months to get together so I could capture some sweet images of her sweet boy before he becomes a toddler.  Kerri heads up our CARES by Apartment Life ministry at church, which is totally awesome!  We finally met up at the church on April 2nd for our session and let me tell you, this is one FUN family!  Will and Kerri are such awesome parents, baby Sam is so lucky to have them!  Thank you guys for choosing me to capture this stage of your lives.  I had such a blast!  I truly hope we have the opportunity to get together again very soon!

Caden turned 1!

So, I am behind on the blog....  These are from Caden's 1st Birthday Party!  I'm so glad Alissa and Vic invited us to not only be guests of the party but also to capture all the fun!  Alissa did such a great job organizing this party, there was lots of yummy food and fun for everyone!  We hope we get a chance to hang out again soon!
